A Perth Icon Since 1888

Standing proudly at the corner of Beaufort and James Street, The Court Hotel has been a Perth institution for over 136 years. Built in 1888, this heritage-listed pub has evolved through Victorian, Federation, and Art Deco influences, all while remaining a central part of the city’s social scene.

From its early days under Con O’Brien, a gold prospector turned publican and politician, to its modern transformation as Perth’s most beloved LGBTQ+ venue, The Court has always been a place for community, connection, and celebration. It has since welcomed a lineup of world-class performers including Melanie C, Artful Dodger, London Sound, Ruby Rose and Ru Paul.

With its rich history, bold character, and inclusive spirit, The Court continues to be a beacon of entertainment, diversity, and hospitality in the heart of Perth.
