Unique and versatile DJ who could go above and beyond the normal realm of a DJ set

WasteLand represents the brainchild of Western Australian born producer Matt Riley. Over the years he established himself as a unique and versatile DJ who could go above and beyond the normal realm of a DJ set.

Soon after he began, merely playing other artists’ music wasn’t enough and he leapt forward into the world of production. Over the years his tracks/bootlegs have gained popularity by being played by DJs throughout Australia and abroad and having one of his bootleg’s played by DJ Chuckie on BBC Radio 1.

His energetic and fast paced sets are a large part of his rapidly growing popularity and success, as no matter what the situation he always maintains the ability to react to the crowd and to give them the best experience possible. He’s a regular at the annual Southbound Festival in the Southwest, as well as more recently appearing at Stereosonic and Future Music Festival after winning the Future of Future DJ competition.

Adding to this he also frequently plays for Hed Kandi and Ministry of Sound’s Annual Tours of Australia. In his short career he has already had the privilege of supporting artists such as Hardwell, Angger Dimas, Tommy Trash, Tom Piper, Oliver Twizt, and Hook n Sling to name a few. He recently signed a record deal with world-renowned record label Cr2 Records. In the meantime he has clocked up official remixes for the likes of TV Rock, Denzal Park, Frew and Disfunktion as well as having his official bootlegs supported worldwide, including being played by Hook n Sling at the world’s biggest club Green Valley in Brazil.
